Hey guys, I just replaced my aging K7D w/ 2xAXP2400+'s with a 939Dual and an Opty 170 as in my sig. Running at 10x260, w/ the memory on a 5:6 divider at 216mhz im getting Sandra memory scores of around 5000MB/s. Honestly I'm not sure if this is where it should be, but some reviews around the web ive seen have stock 200mhz scores at more like 6000+, if this is right, what could be going wrong?

Thanks for the help in advance.

EDIT: Before you ask, yes the memory is in dual channel mode. Timings are 2.5-3-3-8.

That looks about correct, maybe a tad low but nothing major ...

I get mid 7000s on a 311 x 9 165 with 3448 memory 180 MEMCLOCK

Yeah see thats my concern, you actually have a lower memclock than I do, but 40% higher score? yeah you have 200mhz cpu clock on me but that shouldnt matter that much...hmm, still wonder.

... 279 ....

You got a stacker ... can you tell me how do you take off the 4 - 3 module fan and grill ... do you have any idea

Good question...I forgot how i got the drive cage in there in the first place, and last time i tried to take it out...i couldn't...i have it placed at the very bottom of the case. So basically I just need to get better RAM so i can run a better divisor.

Prolly my 10K III and my 9800Pro will get replaced first, as i think those are holding me back in games and stuff right now.

Thanks for the help.

Not the cage [ module ] itself, how do you take off the fan that is attached to the module

Scores do look a little low, I just got myself some Corsair memory, timing not too different from your and I get almost 6000MB/s (about 5900) at 200Mhz clock speed

one thing that might be affecting it is the fact that your running asynchronous memory speed, did you try benchmarking at stock speeds?

I haven't, didn't run any benchies till after i OC'ed, ill try that and post back.

Thanks

Ok so I ran the Sandra memory benchmark at default speeds (2.0Ghz/ 200mhz RAM) and got 4435MB/s. I'm pretty sure this is lower than it should be. Any other suggestions?

Ok yeah that was freakin weird. After benching at stock, went back to my OC'ed speed.
10x260, 5:6 divider, ram @ 216. And now magically it benches 6100. Dunno what I did different, but I ain't changin it now hehe.

Thanks for the help guys.

EDIT: Wait I lied, I did actually change my command rate to 1T from 2T. Can't believe it made that much of a difference, and I've heard of stability issues using 1T, but we'll see.
