Low profile right angle adapter

I just picked up a sata controller for the expresscard slot on my notebook. Problem is, the audio ports are directly above it and the card blocks them. What I think I can make work is a right angle connector. I have a pretty standard size one on a set of headphones I tried and it is just slightly too big(sticks out too far). My question is does anyone know where I can get a fairly low profile one so I can still plug my speakers into the port? Thanks for any help!
Let me know if this would be better off in the mobile computing...

Something like this but have it stick out less and both ends 3.5mm

One thing you can try is use a sharp razer and shave some of the rubber off that connector, they have a lot of rubber/plastic on them.

The only other suggestion would be to get a USB sound card, size of a thumb drive, they are about 8 bucks now.

Hmm never thought of shaving off the rubber that just may do it, thanks for the idea! I have looked into options of usb sound cards, and considering its a notebook i doubt the sound would be any worse. I just wanted to avoid spending the money if possible. Off to go find a razor...
