I need a low profile HSF for an i3 4130 min-itx build. This is being put into an 8-bay NAS enclosure where the only fans are two 120mm fans in back of the hard drive exhausted air out the back of the case. The motherboard sits in a side pocket with basically no airflow at all. I don't expect my CPU to get much usage as this is just a dedicated storage device but still considering that there is almost no airflow I'm concerned about my CPU/MB overheating. Any good recommendations for this kind of setup?

Here is my case.

Check out the Noctua NH-L9i. The silverstone could still be too tall.

I have only seen that case available through direct import from China. Didn't know there's a US based agent /distributor. Thanks for the post.

Any chance you have a review on the case?

Any idea how much vertical room you have? That measurement would help narrow things down. Ones that I know about are:

Thermaltake Slim X3
Zalman CNPS8000B
Gelid Siberian
LOGISYS AC2200 (I've used this on a mini-ITX, Pentium 620 with great success)
Titan TTC-NK54TZ (this looks to be about the lowest profile I've seen)
EVERCOOL HPKC-10025EA
EVERCOOL HPH-9525CU XIGMATEK CAC-D9HH3-U01

+2 with a Noctua 25mm fan on it. Although, my 4570S does overwhelm this cooler running the new Haswell Prime... 90s here we come... Luckily most HTPC duty is <10% utilization on a Haswell quad-core.

+1 for the Noctua NH-L9i
