Hey guys, I think I may be getting a low ppd for my CPU. I noticed people saying they were getting 14,000 PPD for a core i7 and someone said they were getting 3,400 ppd with a core i5 520M. I didn't want to clutter the SMP installation guide thread so I started a new one.

I am getting about 210 ppd according to Hardfolding.com. I am running the SMP client for big unit. I am not using -bigadv. I run the client for about 10 hours a day, and it takes me about 18 hours to finish a WU. Each work unit give about 600 points, so I am guessing my ppd is actually closer to 300, but still seems low from what I have been reading. Any ideas if I set something up incorrectly? I am using the passkey, btw. Thanks.

Since you didn't mention it in your post, do you have a passkey setup on your SMP client and if so have you folded 10 units yet? I only ask because you won't get a point bonus without those two things happening first.

I actually say I am using a passkey in the last sentence. But I am using a passkey, but I have not folded 10 units. Is the bonus that much?

My bad, I should read things through a little better. But yes, the bonus makes a huge difference. Probably enough to get you to the 3400 ppd level you saw mentioned.

Ok, well we will what ppd i am getting once I get the bonus. Hopefully turning in a WU every other day is fast enough. Thanks.
