I need a prog to do a LLF on a Maxtor 160G drive, preferably without removing the drive from the RAID controller. If necessary, I can pull the drive and connect directly to IDE port on the MB, but if I don't have to go thru that, all the better. Any suggestions, guys?

gdisk will do a disk wipe. But, if your looking for a real low level format, only the drive OEMs can do that. There are a ton of utilities like gdisk that will zero-fill the drive for you.
