Hello, i am getting low FPS of 50 in UT2004 during onslaught. I dunno why i am not getting FPS of up to 60 (vert sync on)

In the properties i have aliasing on 6x quality, aniso on 16x quality, vert sync on, texures on high quality, mipmap detail on high quality.

In ut2004, everything is set on high, or full and resolution of 1280x1024 32bit and hardware 3d audio.

how do i fix this?
specs are athlon 3000+xp barton, 1gig corsair pc3200 xms low latency, BBAti radeon 9800 pro 128mb, shuttle sn45g with nforce2 400 ultra, case left open during game play.

thanks.
btw what is side band addressing, and should i have that enabled?

lol i mean come on, common sense man

if the fps isn't high enough for you check your settings

you say you have 6XAA and 16XAF on? those are the highest settings possible man, no wonder your fps is low, TURN THE SETTINGS DOWN for crying out loud

I find 1280x1024 2xaa/8xaf to be perfect for playing ut2004 on a 9800pro (overclocked)

i get horrible FPS on the assault map. no freakin clue why. same with onslaught. but that's because in game it's 1280x1024 with every in game setting maxed and on the video card i'm set to that "balance" in the control panel with the AA and AF set to application preference.

i just ignore the FPS and only when it gets choppy do i do something about it.

i sort of see the original posters question about it, the 9800 pro is the current god of video cards and with the ridiculous pricetag at the moment, it'd better be for at least another few months. prsonally i expect to be able to go into every game and jack it up to full blast without any slowdowns. but that's me personally.

Specs in sig, unoverclocked im getting average of probably about 55fps at 1024x768x32 with 6xaa 16xaf... at higher resolutions you dont even need the aa and af :D

Quit whining and play the game... Does it hinder your amazing skills?

I see around 35-65 fps depending on location. And a low of 20 in the middle when 8 guys are fighting for control of the center node. Changing quality settings, AA/AF, or resolution makes little difference. In fact next to zero difference. I am CPU/memory bound FOR SURE!! So.....only one thing to do......finish my custom rig. :D

I'm on 400mhzFSB btw. I'm gonna add that to sig.
