system specs in sig. 61.77 drivers, high quality settings in drivers no aa. high quality settings in doom 3, 1280*1024.

timedemo demo1= 36 fps

is that ok, or a bit too low?

With the same cpu but with 512mb ram on a GT at 400/1100 I think I get 56fps at 1280 x 1024 High Quality 4xAA so I would guess yours may be a little low.

Do you have VSYNC enabled in advanced options?

took vsync off in advanced options in doom3 and made it application controlled in drivers.

43.3 now, still a bit low?

sounds about right if thats a standard 6800 you have

There are numerous D3 tweak guides on the net that may help you get more fps out of the game.

My advice is that if it looks good enough and plays smooth enough then don't fix something that is not broken :)

ye its a standard 6800 m8. i got it for £170, so cant really complain.

thx for the help

Yeah, it's still low, I have a 2.4C @ 2.91 (it was a lame duck :-p) with 6800GT at 370/1.0 (stock BFG OC), 1gb RAM, and I get around 51 fps at 1280x1024, High quality, 4xAA.

Edit: Just realized it's a standard 6800, so you're good to go.

are you sure its oright performance?

in the doom3 [h] guide they get 51 fps and the system they use is exact same as mine. but settings are 1600*1200., high quality.

ive just benched again with 62.20 drivers and get 46 now but still looks like it should be higher.

did [h] use timedemo demo1 aswell to check their fps?

itd be great if some1 here has a 6800 so i could see if my score is oright.

just ran 3dmark03 , got 8800 with no overclocking, default driver settings.
