Low clearance NB heatsink

Does anyone have an a fairly low clearance heatsink laying around like the one in this thread?

I'd buy it off you with paypal money or something if you could send it to me in an envalope, I really need it to quiet down my system.

I have one lying around here that you can have. I warn you that it won't cool very well!

I'm in Canada, so I might not be able to send it to you any time soon. They're worth about 50c at ANY local computer store .

I live on the east coast and you could probably send it in a normal envalope if it came to that, thanks for the information

No, I mean like "Jeff's computer shop" or any place that does lots of computer repairs. They won't sell them in a box because they don't perform very well.

the one I have is black anodized aluminum and is exactly 1.2cm tall (unincluding the base, which is 2mm thick) for a total of 1.4cm tall. Is that within clearance? It's EXACTLY the same HS as the one in that thread ;

If you want a low clearance heatsink look around for one that is built for a server. I am not completely sure if they make them for the NB but that is what I woudl look under. Search for "1u XXX heatsink" which should get you some very small heatsinks if they make them.

I bet that would clear just fine, I'll have to go measure it though. I should also contact that thread starter for his temps, I'm going to be using it on the very same mb. I'm taking everything back to stock so I don't think my nb is getting very hot.
