Hello all...
I can't spend $1000
I plan on spending $400> on a CTX PR960F 19 inch FD Trinitron - thought that will be later as I have a pos monitor to use for now.
I will need a case/PS/HSF, CPU/Motherboard/Memory/HDD/SoundCard/Video. I need it all but the monitor.
I was looking at the AMD Sempron. Seems like the next generation Duron - The Duron was the last processor I built a machine out of ( and is now with an ex-lover )
So under the assumption that the Sempron is the best bang for low budgetness. Lay it on me.
I was thinking an OEM Soundblaster Audigy would be the way to go, unless there is another suggestion.
I really have no plan to overclock this machine - So memory can be a little underpriced as well. I might be able to splurge some Cas2 - but Mushkin/Crucial kinda pricey. I wa shoping going for cheap ram and lots of it... but who knows. There could be a better ram at 512 MG than a gig of the crappy ram.
The video card is the most difficult to shop for. So many...
I have heard IBM hard drives are good. I only need like 10-20 GB. 7200 RPM is wanted, or greater if found for cheap.
No bunrer either - just a plane old cd-rom drive will be sufficient. I don't even need or want a floppy.
Well... If I couild give a figure. I don't want to spend more than $400-$500 dollars.
I don't play FPS for [H]ard leetness anymore, in fact I am playing City of Heroes a good deal and really just want a decent machine to run this.
