Low 3DMark06 Score? (x1950xtx)

I know it's just a single X1950XTX, but I thought It'd be a little higher than that.

What's everyone else's thoughts?

 
Ah, so that's a fairly normal score? I had no idea there was such a huge increase with crossfire...

I was hearning 7000-8000 scores with the x1950XTX...

Am I missing something? And why are review scores always so much higher...?

exactly... my cpu is over two years old. not even dual core. the cpu adds a lot to the score for 3dmark06

I'm running what's technically a Core2 Quadro. My CPU score is pretty damn high :eek:
 
I ran it with my single 1900xtx and got 5050, ran it with a single 1950xtx and got 6900. I'm running a core 2 duo @ 3ghz.

Just RMA'd the 1900xtx cus it was funkin up, gonna put ti in crossfire with my 1950xtx CF when i get it back.

He's running a 4 core at 3.0GHz. Look at his CPU scores, they are higher than mine. His video scores are LOWER than mine.
 
I'll be able to add some scoring of my own in here tomorrow to compare with yours.

It's the box in my sig I'm going to use.
 
Try going into the driver control panel and setting AA/AF to application preference. That should make sure they are off when running 3DMark.
 
Don't forget to clock that core! ATT has made it easier than ever with OD3. I only managed 702/837 artifact free on an X1900XT 512, but it was enough for 6998.

I haven't been paying much attention to the CPU scene lately. Am I correct in assuming then that a Clovertown is a Core 2 quad-core of some sort? A befitting name, and no, it doesn't make much sense that you would be getting scores that low with a CPu like that.

Looks like I might've found the problem? How is my link width 1x? Does anyone else have a P5B-Deluxe and know how to fix that?

Looks like the link width was the problem... no wonder games didn't seem that fast! Well, now I need to see if I can go back to overclocking while keeping my link width at x16.
 
i've been watching this an am glad things seemed to have settled correctly. i still feel like you should be getting a higher score tho, but once your oc that clover again! i bet with oc'ed gfx and cpu, you might be able to top 8000

Well, it's shy of 8,000, but I think it's a pretty respectable score. 3DMark says I'm at 2.932GHz. I can't wait to get a new cooler - I think this badboy would kick ass on some good water cooling!
