Loud SK83G PSU

I built an SK83G for my friend a while back and it works great. But lately the power supply has become so loud that it is really annoying. It's not just the fan speeding up, it's something that shouldn't be there. Unfortunately, it seems like this model is the XPC that Shuttle forgot, and it doesn't look like any of the power supplies they sell fit in it.

Friend sent an email to Shuttle tech support but hasn't gotten a response...I don't know how timely they are with that.

I haven't yet taken a look at it personally so I'm not sure exactly what is causing the noise and if it is fixable (though I'm wary of trying to fix anything inside a PSU) but does anyone have any ideas on a new power supply? Or has anyone had a similar issue?

Thanks for any help.

When I had my 2 shuttles awhile back, I never used email with them. I always picked the phone up and called them. Seems allot of people learned this from the Sfftech boards.
