Ok, so I have an ATI X700 Pro.
Anytime I run really any kind of a game (WoW, CS: Source well... any Source bsed game, etc...) the fan on my X700 pro runs like crazy, making a lot of noise. Normal? not?

The Fan on mine is loud when it starts to get hot. Dose yours throttle up and down and sound like a little buzz saw. Mine had this habit of spinning the fun up when need and the second it cooled down slowed down then after about 5 min of gaming up it goes again.

29 bucks? Where'd you get it?
And yeah, it runs pretty good. When I bought it, I thought it was an x800. But, turned out that it was in a different box because it had been "gayly" overclocked. THats why it died.

ebay :)

it looked ugly and was blue so i guess no one wanted to bid on it.

MIne did everything I wanted to it to until I got my 7800 and now its in the lan box so. It would play modern games just dont expect a lot of res. I used that card to play threw FEAR I had to play at 800X600 but it did it.

I fixed my fan problem with ATi tool and just make the fan run at 100% when in games.

What kind was yours and were did you get it. I dont think Ive ever saw a factory overclocked X700.

INdeed, I thought most of the third party companies skipped teh X700 line and went straight to teh X800.

BTW how mucg better was your 7800?

For my 19 LCD (1280X1024) Its all I need for my gaming needs it didnt really seem night and day but then again I would usally turn off all the eye candy and play at native. It was a nice improvement the games went from smooth to butter. I would do it again but the only thing I would do differnt is shell out the dough for the X1800 they seem to be keeping up better but hindsight is 20/20

just got mine today. did u overclock it any? im wondering how high the mem and core can. not sure how to tell how high these infineon's go.

My X700 Pro would run at XT speeds easy I never really pushed it past that though because it would get a little warm at those speeds. I had the BBA version though.

XT speeds (475 core , 1050 mem)
