Lost window login password

HI all,
I have dell comp with window XP and my son he changed the login password. Now he forgot, we can not login. Anyway to get the password or have to reinstall window again.

Rock a google search. I know there is a way to open your SAM (Security Accounts Manager) and try to find the current password in there. But there are probably a dozen other ways.

download ophcrack, burn it to a cd, boot to the cd and let ophcrack do its thing.

That's exactly what I use. I used it to unlock an employee's personal laptop this morning in fact. Works great.
