lost laptop power coard

hi all i let my friend borrow my laptop over the weekend when he gave it back to me he said he lost the power cord to it. my question is where can i buy the power cord at?
note its not the whole power adapter its just the part the plugs into the wall

You'll need your exact model number. I did a cursory search and it looks like they want $124 for the whole thing (AC Adapter + power cord) or $90 for just the cord. Yikes. However, that style power cord is pretty common. You should be able to find a similar one for $20 to $40 somewhere; maybe even free. My friend took one from an old carving knife and it worked like a charm.
 
Check ebay for the part number of the charger, and it will also show cords, probably longer than the original. I got mine for my dell for $5+ship
