Lost Internet Connection

I'm having trouble with a particular PC that seems to loose the ability to connect to the interent for an unknown reason. I have a wireless connection, but the PC uses the cable right from the wireless router. In addition, my other PCs get on the internet when this one can't.

When the bad PC starts up, it gets on the internet just fine. After 15 minutes it just quits and refuses to do anything related to the interent at all. If I try to ping a web site or ipconfig, it says error 142 property couldn't initialize properly. Whatever the problem is, its effecting the core windows interent programs as well.

I really have no idea why the interent connection is randomly lost after startup, but it does happen consistantly after about 15 minutes. I've done virus and ad scans with spyware docotr with no success. Any ideas for something to try? Thanks for the help.

reload network drivers

do you still have ip after 15 mins?

try to connect without router? like say to the modem directly

replace the Network Card..I have had one or 2 do that.Pan in the But.Usually though it only dies on me with the Onboard Network thingys, they are cheap anyway.

Thanks for the reply. It turned out to be a slippery trojan than closed the internet connection to IE. IT ran as a system process call spsys.exe. Norton and spyware doctor missed it for some reason. Anyway, glad its gone now.
