I have a canon xti, leaving for a 2 week trip tomorrow, and i lost my charger..

can i charge it through usb or anything??!?
 
I believe if you set your camera to PC Connection in the menu (it's usually set to Print/PTP and the menu is the last one menu tab) and plug it into your laptop it should charge it. Might want to look it up but I swear the indicator stated I had half battery and I decided to hook it up to my laptop to do some shots over 2-3 days. I took about 200+ pictures while it was hooked up with my laptop. Now the indicator stated the battery was full. Even after 200+ pictures I don't see how it wouldn't be half way at that point if the battery was full to begin with. Oh and I am using a Rebel XT. Try to ask around first I am not 100% certain.
