My friend Sandra K. decided after seven years that she was to tired to go on anymore, she chose to not do chemo again, five times was enough, her husband is trying to go on but His love is deep and he has changed, I hope he will be able to recover. One friend gone and another really hurt. I hate this crap.

The three more boxen I was trying to figure out how to get built have now moved up the priority ladder, to little to late, but one more reason to continue the fight.

it's okay, brother. we all know that words can't really express the feelings..they're just not, sufficient..it'll be all right. it has to be. fold on.

Sympathies man.

I just went to a viewing for a man that taught me that you don't have to step on the necks or backs of the people around you to be successfull.

Truly the world is a little darker. It only took him 6 months from losing his balance on a golf course to leaving his wife and kids behind. Damn shame.

With your permission , as not a member of the folding team:

May I offer prayers for those mentioned in the thread just the same.

My prayers are with Sandra and her family.

If you read posts like this and you are touched like I am. Please Fold! It does not appreciably affect your FPS in games (if at all) and does not affect browsing or general system stability. My gaming rig runs it 24X7X365 it will provide scientists with a needed resource to discern the manner in which these afflictions operate. If they know that, they are on their way to learning how to stop these diseases that needlessly strip the lives of people. These folks, who like you or I, have alot to give to the world. They are loved ones: parents, partners, siblings, or friends. They are missed terribly by those that cared for them. They, who are almost powerless in the face of the most evil of thiefs. FOLD! Dammit people! This program operates when idle! Why it is not on every PC with folks checking thier stats, eeeking out each and every WU, I do not know. Please fold! Like Ch1mer4 and SmokeRngs, kick my ass! Out produce me until I fade in your rear-view mirror and you hit page 1 on Extreme Overclocking I'll be cheering all the way! Please, the need is great, the sacrifice is microscopic. Fold, Fold, Fold!

I cannot imagine how you feel right now. The sad truth of the matter is that every one of us will lose someone very close to them from cancer eventually. This is why we spend countless hours and countless dollars to fold. Why people don't fold is just so beyond me, I get so angry when... *sign*
I can't even type right now, just know that my prayers are with you.

Every day, truely great people are taken by the dragon. My Grandpa volunteered for 40 year as the minister at his church, and never got a dime. He could rock on a banjo, Stevie Ray without the hype. After 6 surgeries, and 5 bouts of chemo, he said enough. "I'm going home" were his last words. His picture graces the rig that folds in his honor. May it find the cure that saves us all.

This is an unfortunate reality that we are all fighting against. My prayers are with you and your friend.

Sandra is in a place now where nothing can hurt her ever again. Take solice in that.

Fold On! :)

the saddest thing is not that people are dying.

the saddest thing is that some living people don't give a shit.

that's what gets me.

My sympathies, racercarl.

As someone once told me, there's a suble but profound difference between giving up and letting go.

Is it crass to quote myself?

'Til death do us part.
Nay, not e'en then
You'll endure in my heart
'Til I meet you again.

Eyes closed deny tears
Yet they come all the same
As the wind in the leaves
Softly whisper your name

I am who I am
Through your counsel and tending
Now with iron resolve
And with patience unending...

I shall battle the monster
Who has stolen away
This piece of my heart
Where you've always stayed.

I look toward a day when a thread such as this becomes a thing of the past.

I feel your pain racercarl, my prayers are with you and your friend.

Brought tears to my eyes.

I am sorry for your loss, and the loss of your friend.

*turns up rheostat and fires up FAH*
If the guilt keeps up, I'll come out of retirement early.
