I was told by a couple people that you loose hyper threading after you go past a 217fsb overclock is this true ?

Nope. At least that has never happened to me when using Abit, Asus or MSI boards.
 
I do remember that MSI 875P boards lose PAT at any FSB over 217mhz. Is that what you meant?
 
just spoke with him and sorry he says its pat you loose at 217fsb
 
im at 284fsb and im still running HT, i do lose GAT however.
