I currently am running an Sapphire 7970. I am wanting to upgrade to a Nvidia card for the fact my new to me Asus 27" monitor is active 3D capable at 120hz. After trying to deal with the Raedon settings and 3rd party software to get 3D on an AMD card, I soon found out that it's just not going to work. So my question is should I get the MSI 4GB 970 gaming edition, or should I save up the extra and go all out for the MSI 980TI? I know the new cards when they come out are going to have even further advancements, but the majority of my time is spent working photos, playing some COD BO3, CSGO, Diablo 3, and some oddball games. I just played the Mirrors Edge beta and I felt my card did okay. I did have to drop the settings to roughly med/high to get anywhere good FPS out of it 70-90 constant.
I know the 980TI is far superior to the 970, and it reflects in the price, but for what I do and what uses I put my card through what are your opinions?
