I setup a few boxes to run linux and am wondering if there is anything else I can do on the software from to get more PPD from the hardware. I went through Musky's guide last night and was able to fix some things that the updates broke, but would like to see what else I can pick up.

fah2 & fah4 are identical hardware, both are AMD FX8120's at stock speeds. The local smp and q6600 offer no overclocking abilities

It seems I was able to make a huge impact on the fah1 box, this is a 2p xeon. Within the next few weeks I am going to play with overclocking the fx8120.

If you have followed musky's guide and have taken in other bits from the forum... your probably maxed.

It was a nice bump you got there. ~30% is nothing small.

Let's say I dropped these xeons onto an sr2 and was able to get 3.8-4ghz out of them, what type of ppd would you guestimate I could get? They are like 2.93ghz as they sit.

I did not see where you mentioned which xeons you had. Quad or hex core? I have a pair of hex core xeons running at 3.8ghz on my sr-2. It gets ~210k ppd with p6903 and p6904 WUs. I want to say that other bigadv units are around 150k ppd. Though, I'm not positive about that.

They are x56xx units.

fah2 and 4 are fx8120's that are going to get overclocked this week. Hoping to get them to at least 4.2-4.4.

The xeons, q6600, and fx8120's are ubuntu from musky's guide.
