The thing with going with a "T-1" to start off with..it's not easy to upgrade, there's no smooth upgrade path other than complete replacement with a new package.
On top of that...a measly meg 'n a half simply ain't gonna cut it.
To me it's more sense to go with a fractional package, a chunka OC-3 or DS3 or something. That way, you're not paying the full price of one of those...certainly don't need a full 144 megs or 45 megs. But starting off with a slice..a fractional...you can easily add more bandwidth as needed. Ramp up your package. All they do is turn up a dial on their end (sorta speak)...no re-running/replacing of cables/equipment.
