its for gaming, all the sites i have been reading trying to sell the monitors seem to be very misleading with their descrip

i want 720p for xbox360 and my pc..

whast the res of 720p?
1280 x 720 (this one seems to make sense but i saw several 1366 x 768)

anyone got any suggestions? 4 grand is my limit for the screen (give or take a lil (><))
 
Are you looking for the biggest tv you can get for $4k or the biggest with the best resolution? You can probably find some 1080p sets under 4k but they'll be smaller than a lower resolution set.

SXRD pretty much solves most of the deficincies in other fixed-pixel tech displays. No screen door effect ala LCD, better black leveles than DLP or LCD, no DLP rainbow effect, true 1080p resolution (PS3 is going to support it, not sure about the Xbox, but might as well get a TV than can handle it until the PS3 comes out, I'm sure the Xbox will still look great on it till then).
