If it was me I would hold off two days and then pick up the latest graphics card or the one you want at a lower price.
 
thats what i plan on doing. i just figured the card would be about that price =]

any ideas for a monitor? this will be used for gaming [CS:S, BF2, FEAR] and web browsing
 
how much do u want to spend on the monitor? also do u want crt or lcd...I just got my second 2405 and very happy with it
 
get a opteron 170 instead of your cpu and oc it a bit, same mhz speed and 2x the cache :D

Or a 165, to save a couple bucks. And yeah, the cache of an Opty really is 2x the X2's cache. No lie. :)
 
I dont want to OC this computer. I just dont really see the reason to do it, and i just dont really want to. I have a 2005fpw on my other rig, i was thinking about getting another. I actually think i will stick with the 7800gtx......the specs on the 7900 arent too different
