Looking to Build SFF

I've been out of the SFF realm for a while now and I'm finally approaching a point where I can build a brand new PC from scratch. What I'm looking for is something with a little upgradability, some future-proofing, and the ability to last at least 12-18 months without upgrading anything. Keep in mind the system I'm on now, which is described in my sig below.

In a nutshell, here's the core of what I'm looking for in a SFF:

NVidia PCI Express x 2 (for SLI down the road)
AMD or Intel, it doesn't really matter (Cost/Performance ratio wins)
AGP x 1 is not a neccessity
SATA x1
PATA x1
DVD/CD-RW
Decent integrated sound & LAN if possible
And enough juice to power it all.

Flashy lights, windows, etc need not apply, but I won't rule them out either.

So far I've looked at the FIC Condor, which doesn't even have PCI-X yet. I'm still checking on Shuttle's offerings.
 
Nvidia SLI rules out Shuttle as they have no plans to make a system with SLI built in, as it would warrant another, larger case design to fit it in and thats not what the XPC line was designed for. No other current SFF maker has plans for a dual SLI system either.

Its also gonna be REAL tough to find a Micro ATX board with SLI in. If you want SLI your pretty much stuck with regular ATX spec
 
Fair enough. Scratch the Dual PCI-X/SLI option. I'm gunning for SFF gaming. SLI was more of a wish-list item anyway.

So far I've only found one SFF with PCI-X, and that's the AOpen Cyber Shock EX915

If I were to look at the Shuttles, which platform would I even start at? I'm assuming thier G Series, but the P8100g that they have on sale looks mighty temping with the free 17" LCD.

Yep, soon to follow will be an nForce 4 version for A64's sometime in January in the P chassis.
 
In Febuary/March 2005 they will have a SLI dual PCIx system available from shuttle. Thats going to be sweet when it comes out.

Link? As I spoke with the shuttle rep in SFFforums who had no indication of Shuttle of doing a SLI system.

What does the P style chassis look like?

*edit, nevermind, found it. The new chassis is "alright", doesn't look as sleek as the G black chassis.
 
There is the Shuttle ST20G5, just recently announced. Smaller G chassis, plus ATi chipset for A64 and PCIe.

Though I think the integrated sound on the ST20G5 isn't very good. That for the SN25P is much better.
