So i've decided to start gaming on three monitors @ 3240x1920. I'm using the asus 144hz monitors and i have the following card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130817. I've looked everywhere for a second and have not been able to find one at all and thus have given up trying to get another to SLI. The card runs strong but in BF4 i can only get 60-80+ fps at my res with everything set to low/off. And well frankly i want to start playing games at higher settings atleast high. I also play FFXIV and can only get 60 fps with everything set to low or mid. So i'm looking at ditching the card and upgrading. But i dont really know what a good worth while upgrade will be.

Rig in Sig

So here is what i want to do:
100 or so fps in bf4 at high settings
Hopefully keep it single card as well.
EDIT: Price 500 is ideally what i'd like to spend but im think i'm gonna be look at just under 700 bones to do this

I've always been a nvidia person because of drivers but i might entertain the idea of going amd.

My question:

Can this even be achieved with a single card or am i looking at SLI. If SLI will i need to upgrade my psu or is 750w enough? If the psu wont be enough what im i looking at power wise.

The next big question is - is it even a good time to upgrade or what for the next set of cards.

Thanks in advanced

That's a pretty huge resolution, very much so approaching 4k in total pixel count (4k is 3840x2160). The 660Ti is definitely underpowered. You could try and find a matching card for SLI, but the 3GB 660Tis are pretty rare and I'd be surprised if you pulled it off.

Looking at a recent review on Hardocp involving the R9 290 and the GF 780 (http://www.hardocp.com/article/2014...rectcu_ii_oc_video_card_review/4#.U5XSNfldWwc), they were able to get around 60fps @ 2560x1600 in BF4 with most options on ultra or high. Your resolution is a good bit higher than 2560x1600 though, so looking for 100fps @ high settings is likely going to require two cards.

No single card will get you 100fps at your resolution with high settings in BF4. I've seen recommendations for an 800 watt minimum for SLI/Crossfire. 750 watts is doable if the PSU is of high quality but I do not know enough about your PSU to say one way or the other. It would not leave a lot of room for overclocking though.

For your setup and budget the best option is going to be the ASUS R9 290 DCUII http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HWQUI02.

With the high resolution that you are trying to push, you will want the added VRAM. If BF4 is also your game of choice, then you will want to go the AMD route for the optimization.
