As the title say i have a budget of $300 and am looking to pick up a nice monitor as soon as possible. i currently am using a 19" CRT and am thinking about switching to LCD. I am primarily a FPS game player and want a nice bright monitor. Below are the links to the BENQ FP222W, the X2Gen MW22U, and the Refurb. Viewsonic 22" VG2230WM

Could someone please tell me what it is i should look for in the spec sheet for an LCD monitor.
I am open to any other suggestions you guys might have as long as the are under $300.

thanx

I have a bias towards BenQ at the moment... their support lines have been very helpful with my myriad of problems with the 24" fp241w. (Don't worry... I don't think it is actually defective, i think its response time is too slow... I just came from a 22" Viewsonic Trinitron tube... its like going through a divorce! :( )

By the way... be VERY careful about what you take to be each monitors REAL response time. The way they quote the speeds has changed... some list it as a Grey to Grey (GTG) response time which is naturally MUCH faster than the real response time of black to white. Some sites will give you both numbers, some wont. Be WARNED. You will NOT be satisfied with anything slower than 8ms, I can guarantee you that. Especially for games.

One more thing... if you are going to go for the FP222W... spring for the FP222W H... it comes with an HDMI port for High def gaming (PS3... maybe future video card support). Future 'proof' your purchase for a couple of extra bucks...
