I am looking for what is the best Non-Widescreen LCD. There has been an abundance of LCDs on the market now, so it can get quite confusing.

I am looking for something in the 19 - 20 inch range... something with a extremly fast resonse time, and DVI hookup. I am hoping to play games with no ghosting, DVDs, and standard everyday stuff. I also am going to want 2 of them. :)

I have a Dell 2005FPW for my other computer and love it, however this computer is going to serve a different purpose, So I want 2 standard LCD's, top of the line... whats the best!

Thanks all

Well when it comes to LCD's, "top of the line" is different depending on what you want to use it for. You want a slow response time, but how much priority are you putting on it? If a lot, I'd look at the Dell 2001, if not THAT much of a priority, perhaps the Samsung 213T (but they may have an updated version, I forgot).

The Dell 2001FP would be a great match for your needs.

Stay safe and thank you for serving, Marine!! HOO-AHHH!! :) :)

he's not gonna like the L90D+ for DVD's or much web browsing.

This is still on toipic but might ba a little thread jacking.

Would you guys say that this monitor that TSS posted about http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-116-338&depa=1
is a better monitor than the L90d+ ?

Also what abot this ViewSonic http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=24-116-277&depa=1
It has a little slower response time (16ms) and less brightness (250nit) but has better viewing angles (170/170) and higher contrast(700-1). It also cost less than the above ViewSonic .

Anyway, wouldn't both of these ViewSonic be better than the L90d+ ?

I am going to be gaming and using excel and everything.. I WANT THE BEST and will pay the best for them.. I dont care

I just want 2 - "top of the line" 19 or 20 inch LCDs...

TWO of them?!?! holy crap... i didnt even catch the '2'.... geebus...

id say the viewsonics are probably the best. if anyone has any others thatre better, go ahead an post, but thats the best ive found.

There is also the new Sony 8ms to consider. I think 8ms PVA panels are supposed to be coming out in the next 3 months or so.

Viewsonic VP201b or s

I am personally waiting for them to update this monitor to an 8ms version.

let me know what you decide on, USMC.

since you're in the military, i'll discount these monitors really heavily (take it offline if interested).

i personally specialize in Viewsonic stuff, but...whatever you need or end up wanting, i'll get for you.

I just want something that has a native res of 1600x1200 or higher

Awesome Contrast, and Awesome Color, Extremly Low ms.. like 12ms or lower.

I dont care who its by, or whatcolor it is, as long as its DVI

I believe this uses the same panel as the Dell 2001FP, or if not, they have the exact same specs, and the Dell has better support and can be had for $125 less according to Pricewatch. Not trying to be a Dell !!!!!! or anything, but I had been planning on getting the VP201 until I found this out.

That said, both the VP201 and the 2001FP are good choices if you're looking for all-around awesome LCDs in the 20" range.
