best sound card under 100? im not sure yet whether i want 5.1, 6.1 or 7.1 sound yet. is the difference really that noticable between the setups? just recommend a few for me
 
Many people like the Audigy series, and they can be had pretty cheaply.

Another favorite (for music and stuff) is the M-Audio Revolution. The Hercules Game Theater XP is pretty good too. If you want really specialized stuff with awesome music quality you'll want to ask MisterX, he knows vastly more than me as I'm mainly throwing out good names I've heard.
