I have a somewhat interesting setup that I need a little help figuring out. The following components are used in my office on a regular basis;

Xbox360 Slim
Gaming PC (specs in sig w/ X-fi Titanium)
Logitech x540
Astro Mixamp
Sennheiser PC360 headset

I'm looking for an easy way to switch between my headphones and speakers, but the catch is they are both used on my PC and Xbox. Confused yet?

The Xbox audio is hooked to the Astro via optical TOSLINK for when I want to use the headphones.
The Xbox video is hooked to my TV via HDMI, which then passes the audio signal via the TVs speaker outputs and into the Flexijack on the X-fi. This serves as a Line In passthrough to the x540s for when I want speakers with Xbox.
The PC outputs normally to the speakers via green, black and orange cables connected to the X-fi.

*The problem arises when I want to use my headset on my PC. I then have to unplug the speakers and the Flexijack passthrough from the X-fi in order to plug in my headphones. Then I have to go into the Creative control panel and change the Flexijack settings from Line In to Microphone. Since the back of my PC isn't very accessible, I'm trying to figure out a "simpler" way to switch the audio.

I've seen a number of different switches and splitters but I'm not sure if there is an easier way that I'm just not thinking about. Can anyone help me wrap my head around this and come up with a solution?

Am I missing something but does your PC have front audio jacks? Why can you not simply connect your PC360s into the front audio jacks of your PC when you want headphones on the PC?

Otherwise I think you're gonna need some kind of receiver or decoder preamp. The catch is that it (seemingly) would need to provide line-level (unamplified) discrete outputs to a set of 5.1 speakers to hook up your x540s. You'd have to look for a receiver with that specific feature. I say seemingly because I'm guessing that the only input method for the x540s are via 3x stereo mini cables?
