looking for some decent headphones

I have a xonar dx soundcard and am looking for decent dolby digital headphones. It has the spdif out but is that able to put out full surround sound. I currently have 5.1 speakers and it sounds amazing but the wife hates it and I want it to sound equally as good.
 
Nevermind I googled it. the v2000 are usb though how do those work with my xonar dx its not an onboard soundcard BTW.

They wouldn't work with the DX, they would appear as their own sound card, and it does Dolby headphone as well .

I was very surprised at the SQ out of these things compared to the last set of Corsair Headsets I tried out.
 
See the turn off for me would be the wireless how long does the battery last? can you charge and use at the same time? how about durability I have 2 kids one is sometimes grabby.
 
Durability is a problem for the 2000s that was fixed with the 2100s.

I've used it for about 20 hours without charging (spread over a few days). I think corsair rates it @ 24 hours of straight use on a charge, that includes the MIC which I didn't really use often.

I'm not sure if you can charge while using.
 
they are the same as the 2000s, except the parts that were "fragile" on the 2000s have been updated, and they added a mute button for the Mic.
