Hello. I am running one Sapphire Radeon hd 5770 and thinking of adding another to my pc. Should I add another 5770 or upgrade to a 120 hz monitor? I'm playing battlefield bad company two now and will be playing battlefield 3 and swtor when they come out.

If I do add another 5770 does it have to be the same brand ?

Actually theyre about as fast as a single 5870 and even slower in some cases.

Still, a pair of them should be able to max out pretty much anything at 1920x1080 with the exception of maybe Metro.

Id say go for the extra GPU muscle right now then get the bigger, badder monitor later.

One thing to consider is that dual video cards, especially those from AMD, tend to be really temperamental with their drivers and with a few games you could have some compatibility issues.

That review was from 2009? Crossfire scaled at 70% then. :p
Even the 5 series scales 85 to 95 % now. 2 5770's will easily beat a 5870 now.
 
Sounds like your best bet would be to go with a new 5770 and then upgrade you monitor down the road. It will be a nice boost in performance and will make BF3 look a lot better I'm sure.
 
Get a second 5770 you won't be disappointed when ur playing BBC2 maxed out. Thats what my roommate is running and he play it at 1920x1080 with 4xAA maxed out. Good Luck =)

You could run 6 5770's with that psu. hahahahah

A 5770 only uses about 90 watts, max. 2 5770's could run off a good 450watt psu with a overclocked cpu.
