Greetings,
I am trying to get some ideas on a cheap 1366 board to use in a system I am building After a lot of reading on this site, it seems to make more sense to grab something for now until Q4 when the X68 chipset comes out which will/should actually have the SATA 6Gbps/USB3.0 correctly implemented.
As my current system indicates, I tend to stick with a system for a while(granted I ended up swapping out my old 9800 Pro for a 3850 about a yr ago). While the SATA and USB may not mean anything now, 2 or 3 yrs from now when I am looking to upgrade a hard drive to a 100TB drive it may.
So short story long, any recommendations for a board to get me by? Am I missing any details that may change my mind on waiting? I just hate having all these parts laying here still boxed up waiting for a MB, CPU and Video card (and only waiting on the I7 920 because there are no Microcenters within 5 hours of me, so waiting on a price drop with the 930 coming out).

Thanks for any help

When it comes to high-end components like X58-class stuff, if you go too cheap you'll regret it. $200 is about as cheap as you can get. If you are looking for cheap, stray away from X58...
