I've been wanting to do this for quite some time now, but i'd like to get some first-hand impressions from those that have already purchased/used one. I'll have roughly $2500 to play with. This will be used for gaming and some surfing. Possibly plug a console into it at some point, but that's just an idea right now. For the immediate future, it will be used for surfing and gaming, with emphasis on gaming.

I went thru the first 8 or 9 pages of the the thread up top of peeps showing off their rigs, and I only found 1 pic of a 30". I'd like to get one in the 32" to 37" range. Higher would be even better, but then I think i'd start going outside my price range. This doesn't have to be a PC-only thing. I realize it'll most likely be some kind of TV screen and that's fine. I just want something big and sharp and clear with NO ghosting or "smearing" or "runny" graphics.

Can anyone please recommend any screens that coincide with what i've specified above? Maybe provide a link(s) or a review(s)? I've been wanting to do this for about 5 years now and I just don't want to rush into it as for me it's a big purchase (and hopefully one I won't have to make again for several years).

Thanks for the links boomheadshot45. That Sceptre is looking sweet, and the reviews i've read about it (as far as gaming is concerned) are very good as well. Now, about that extended warranty plan...

Normally I NEVER buy the extended warranty plan. I've always been told that it's just a scam to get more money outta ya at the time of purchase. However with something of this magnitude i'm not so sure. I've heard/read different opinions about burning out bulbs and general quality degradation over time. While these things may be inevitable, do you (or anyone else) think it's worth getting an extended warranty to compensate?
