Hey all,

I've been looking for a case mod in particular for a while but to no avail, and would really appreaciate some help and finding info/pics.

The mod in question involved one-way plexiglass. I think it was done for nvidia for a show. I can't remember the name of the mod, and I can't remember the modder.

Also, I was wondering if anyone on the boards had any experience with any waterjet places in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). I would like to get some pretty complicated stuff cut and want it to look professional.

use the yellowpages under industrial, but it's gonna be expensive as hell, if you can hit up some community centers you might be able to find an auto body or metal works class (dirt cheap and city funded) plus you'll learn how to do the work yourself. call up 411 or city hall:p

I think I know what you're talking about, or at least that I can sort of point you in the right directuibn. There was a mof Iw as looking at just liek two days ago where the guy takes plexi and masks one bit, then sprays the putside part, then removes the mask and puts automotive window tint on the unpainted bit so it's only transparent when the lights are on. If you used a heavy enough tint you could probably do the same thing.

There seems to be a growing trend of getting things laser and waterjet cut. Is there any reason you can't do this work yourself?

I find it much cooler if a person is able to do their case modding work without the help of a waterjet. Shows real talent. Getting something cut just shows you know how to use cad.

i dont think so, if the mod looks good who cares how it was made, if the person making it has the design in his head for a nice mod i see no problem with how it was made, plus spending 200$ on a nice case and possibly fucking it up due to a bad blade on a cutter would suck i'd rather have some insurance:p

Throw enough money at something and it'll always look good no matter what. I'm speaking of talent, that's all. Dont sass me :p :D

I couldn't Dremel my way out of a wet paper bag, so waterjet is definately the way to go for me.
