I may be upgrading to a barton 2500 and some 3200+ 1 gig ram soon and i also plan to upgrade to a new graphics card. I don't really want the break the bank and to me, preformance is a little more of a issue than image quality. If it is within 10 or so fps, then i guess it dosent matter but other then that, i want a pretty decent card that is about $150ish.

I've been eyballing a sapphire 9600xt as it is at $155 on newegg, but the geforce fx 5900XT is suddently looking very appealing as well. What would be a better card to go with?

i say go with the 5900xt. 8 pipelines and 256bit memory, wich the 9600xt is 128 bit memory and 3 pipelines(but its still a great card) i just think the 5900 is a better card and a great oc'er. try to find a 5900nu if your lookin on ebay.
