Looking for my gaming CRT

600? thats a REALLY expensive CRT, lol.

How big are you looking for? a CRT that much is like 22 inches.... sucker is gonna cave in your desk :p

I would reccomend Viewsonic as just a generally good brand.

Another vote for Viewsonic...You can get a 17" perfectflat screen for 134 at newegg. Or a 19" for around 200.

What about the NEC/Mitsubishi DP2070SB-BK, 22" Diamondtron Monitor? I have been looking at that, or the 2001fp lately. Space isnt an issue, so I am thinking the crt may be the way to go.

sony g520p --- nice looking .24 dot pitch --- refresh rate goes up to 100 at 1600x1200, and 120 at 1280x960---- zones.com has it for 600

lol...if ur lookin to spend 600 bucks or so u should get a LCD flat panel....look for one w/ 12ms responce time tho....nething more will look bad.

I thought the 2001fp had one of the fastest refresh times with 16ms, what one has 12?

They used to say that "nething more" line with 16ms. :) Anything more then 16ms will look bad :p

he said space isnt an issue...with that in mind, no lcd can compare to a crt.

i have a 19" viewsonic, if i were to build my own system again i'd spend the extra $50 to get the NEC w/ higher refresh rates. my fastest @ 1600x1200 is 60hz w/ is anoyong if any lights are around.
