Looking for modder's mesh?

Don't waste your money.

Go to the hobby store, and look for wireform. Our Hobby Lobby had copper, bare aluminum, and black finished aluminum in several different mesh sizes. I got two packs of aluminum, in different size. Cost me $10.

Thanks! I had been wanting to price out some stamped metal (aka modder's mesh, etc) locally, but the aluminum or stainless stuff is WAY too expensive! Didn't really want to get steel, since it rusts if not treated, but found something I could use at a local hardware store (36" square piece of perforated aluminum for ~$19).

Did a quick Froogle search for wireform, and was shocked at how low the prices were! So thanks from me, and I'm sure, eventually, from a bunch of other modders.

lol...it rusts if exposed to the elements.

wireform looks like it's made to mold to things, which means that it'll be easily damaged. modder's mesh is usually steel and is very sturdy, which is nice if it's made to be part of a pc case. i would look around some more if i was you.

Ahh, but there aare lots of folks using it for non-structural purposes, and there were some strong guages that could support plenty of weight.
