Hi all!

I'm looking for a mobo. I'm planing to build a SFF, so I need a uATX.
I'm planning to use a E6600, 2 GB RAM and maybe a dx10 Video card, and I'm not going to do any OC.
The case will be a Nox Cube (The same as Q-pack but without power pack and black interior)

So I have seen some mobos, but I'm not sure about that.

The Abit IT-90HD is nice, but I've read it have some problems and it hasn't firewire. What are these problems?

The Asus P5B-VM is also a nice one, but it has some problems about the RAM voltages.

There is another mobo to consider?

I am currently running both of the boards you are considering.

The Asus board is rock solid, the issue with the RAM is you need something 1.95V or less.

Something like a 2x1gb kit of Corsair PC6400.

The abit board is nice also, I think though people are killing them by trying insane (for matx) overclocks or trying to overvolt things without proper cooling. Purely speculative though.

I have one now and it seems fine, just pushing an e4300 to 2700 MHz.


If you want core2 duo and matx I think those 2 boards are your best options. LMK if you have any additonal questions.
 
Ok Thanks... I prefer the asus one, due to the firewire...

I'm planning to buy it on july-august. Maybe there will be some other options in the near future
 
You might wanna check out the Gigabyte GA-965GM-S2 also. Its cheaper and has good reviews at Newegg.

EDIT: Well, I have seen the GA-965GM-DS2 and I haven't seen any difference. Maybe it's newer?
 
There's also the ASUS P5LD2-VM Rev2 mobo. Before the ABIT F-I90HD came out alot of enthusiasts were eying it. It can overclock up to a point but to do so you need to use a seperate sound and video card to achieve best results. I dont know if it has IEEE or not. I forget. Do a search of it here and you'll find threads about it.

The 945G chipset is a bit old, isn't it?
