Ok, so I got this chassis here: http://www.mountainmods.com/u2ufo-brushed-aluminum-solid-top-p-76.html and I'm planning on getting these two components to expand it: http://www.mountainmods.com/pedestal-24-p-492.html and http://www.mountainmods.com/mountain-mods-u2ufo-extension-kit-p-495.html

So, what I'm trying to figure out, is what I want to do with it. I'm already planning on installing a side panel window and giving it a decent paint job, just not sure where I want to go from there. Kinda looking to do something to it to make my mom's nickname for it (Frankenputer) a deal more appropriate.

Specs:
ECS AM2+ Board
Phenom Quad core (2.1Ghz)
8GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 550 Ti
650W PSU
240Gb Kingston SSD
750Gb WD HDD
Akasa front panel card reader/USB
Liquid cooled (CPU/GPU/NB)
XSPC Dual Bay Acryllic Res
Koolance tubing/fittings/water blocks/pump/rad

Intending on upgrading to AM3 in the next couple months, for those wondering.

AMD guy?

Yeah, I cringed a little when I read that you're running an AM2 Phenom in that case. That doesn't really do it justice. I associate extreme projects with mountain mods cases. The first one I saw in person housed an EVGA SR-2 (the first sample given out in the US) and 2x engineering sample 5970s that just came out. The second is a storage rig I helped build that housed over 40 HDDs.

Not knocking your setup, just saying you have big shoes... err.. case to fill :)

Are you DIYing the case mods or customizing it on their site? I know they do side window etching and custom paint jobs.

I'll be doing the mods myself.

Once I finish getting the tools I think I'm going to need, I'll start buying the parts for the build that'll be housed in that long-term.

The current components are temporary, since the AM3+ board I bought for my AM3 Hexa 3.1Ghz/DDR3 RAM died after about an hour... x_x (Couldn't get my NB waterblock onto it, and with the stock heatsink w/Arctic Silver 5 TIM showed that the chip was running at roughly 160 degrees Fahrenheit when I finally checked...which was about a minute before it died...)

As far as tools that I have;
Assortment of drivers, cutting, crimping/gripping tools
2 dremels and a number of accessories
Corded and cordless drills

Planning on getting an airbrush w/compressor and a mini hacksaw at the moment.

[Edit]
As far as paint, is KandyKote still the best paint to go for?

Parts list for those interested (to buy, not including what's on hand):
2x Delrin switches (black, unsure of what ring/dot color I'm getting atm)
HT Omega eClaro sound card
EVGA SuperNOVA 650W Modular PSU
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ MB (Anyone happen to have this MB? Would like to know the length of the Vreg.)
4x Koolance RAM-33
Koolance TMS-EB205 + expansion board
Koolance Vreg block + plate
