Ok, I'm pretty certain of which of the two laptops I'm looking at to get. But I figured I'd see what other people think.
I'm just going to list cpu / gpu differences as those are really the only two important items to me and what I'm more basing my decision off of than anything else (That and otherwise they are nearly identical)
I'll be using this for work (Yes I'm buying my own laptop to use for work as I don't want to use a locked down laptop that I can't do anything other than work with and all), and gaming when not at my desk at home (Either on the road or lan parties). I'll be near power outlets whenever I'm using it so don't tell me my battery life is going to suck because I want a powerful graphics card in it.
1 - 7900GTX Mobile, C2D 1.83GHz 2mb Cache, 667MHz FSB.
2 - 8600GT Mobile, C2D 2.0GHz 4mb Cache, 800MHz FSB.
Due to me wanting it for gaming option 1 seems like the best option to me. As well the graphics card smokes the 8600. I'm pretty sure the processor won't hold me back much (As well I didn't notice much gaming improvement with my desktop when I OCed it and it was at about the same specs (With a faster FSB) as the cpu in the laptop.
So concidering that other features and price are nearly identical which would you get if you were going to be using it as more or less a portable desktop?
