Still trying to figure this stuf out, but was wondering what you guys would recommend for me. System that it will be cooling will consist of the following

DFI Lanparty UT NF4
3000+ winnie
6600GT pci-e
512x2 g skill pc4800

I plan on cranking this baby up as much as I can reliably, so I feel air wount cut it.

Anyways, I welcome all recommendations.

How much money are you looking to spend?
Do you care if the system is completely enclosed inside the case?
If so how much room do you have in your case?

I'm not really locking myself into any specific price range. I want to weigh my different options.

It would be nice if the system was completely enclosed, but not a requirement.

My case is an Antec I have had for a few years. I think I have plenty of room, but I really do not know how much room this stuff takes. I am not opposed to a new case if it is deemed necessary.

Dont WC a winnie. THe gains arent worth it. An xp-120 gets the same OCs as a wc setup, cause winnie dosnt generate enough heat. The week/stepping (get 0448 SPAW) is the most important factor in OC ing winnies.

Just because you can get almost the same OC on air is no reason not to watercool.

To get the same OC on an xp 120 you are going to need a lot more noise than you would to get an even higher overclock on a well built watercooling system. The tradeoffs of aircooling vs watercooling have been discussed on a recent thread so please dont start hijacking WC threads and turning them into AC threads.

Back to the point ::

I am assuming you have an antec mid tower, the largest radiator you are probably going to be able to fit inside the case is a 2x120mm radiator, that would require the forfeiture of at least 2 5 1/2" drive bays as the only place you will likely find room is at the top of the case.

You have a wide selection of waterblocks to chose from, the most popular are the DangerDen TDX, Swiftech 6000/6002, and to a lesser degree Dtek Whitewater. All of those blocks are very good performers as well as at a pretty decent price around 50-60$.

For the GPU I would recommend a GPU only cooler, and not one like the DD-NV68. For the GPU cooler you best options are the DD Maze4, Swiftech MCW-50, and the Silverprop HL Fusion (if you can find it).

The last really vital piece for watercooling you need to consider is the pump. You can either get a DC pump or an AC pump. I would recommend DC pumps because they are easier to set up, smaller (for the most part) and usually perform better in a closed loop watercooling situation (higher head pressure)

Note (slashes denote alternate names for the same pump commas separate different pumps)

DC Pumps to consider are : mcp650/Laing D4/DD-12V D4, mcp350/Laing DDC/DD DDC-12V, and lastly mcp600/AQX-50Z(AquaXtreme 50Z)
A word of caution on the mcp650, many people complain that it is quite noisy, the other two pumps however are dead silent and great performers.

If you decide to get an AC pump it might be worth it to also invest in a PCI relay card, it would make you life a lot easier to not have to either mod the PSU or plug in the pump every time you turn on the system.

AC Pumps to consider are : Eheim 1250/1048, Hydor L35, Danner Mag3, Via Aqua 1300

I hope this will help you direct your research a bit better, it is hard to simply come out and recommend a single setup for you, so I have given you a number of the more popular/better performing choices for the the main components of a WC setup.

I did just order a Cooler Master Stacker case, so I will have plenty of room to fit the stuff inside the case. Thanks for the pointers.

If you got the stacker then DEFINITELY get the 2x120mm radiator, you can fit it easily in that case in a number of places. Hell you can even fit a 3x120mm radiator in that beast pretty easily.
