Looking for advice on how to put a class top on a desk i'm making. Wanting to light it. Have two ideas:

1) Just get the glass cut to size, place on, maybe light from sides?

2) Risers + glass cut to size, light underneath ? Anyone done this? Would it be strong enough (what glass type would i need) to hold monitors + assorted crap?

Ideas overall?
