Looking for headphone jack adapter

I am looking for a headphone plug adapter for my Grados. The grados have a 1/4" (6.3mm) plug, however I often need to plug them into 1/8" (3.5mm) jacks. I have an adapter like this one http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?cat_id=119&sku=40636

However when I plug it into say an ipod, I am worried that the long moment arm created by the adapter and 6.3mm plug could easily damage the jack in the ipod. Does anyone know of someone who sells an adapter that has a very small amount of cord between the female and male end to reduce the moment arm. right now the moment arm is over 3 inches long!
 
This is what you are looking for. You should be able to find a better deal, but the Grado adaptor is flawless.
