Looking for bookshelf speakers.

im planning on getting the panny xr-55 receiver and im looking for a pair of bookshelfs to go with them. the onix xls look good but the only ones in stock on sale are the black ones with the grill and i dont like the look of the grill. is there any better speakers for under 250 and if not does the grill on the x-ls come off?
 
that is a great budget choice btw. the sound will amaze for the $$.
 
Everything on that site is considered good to great for the $$. Way better deals than anything you get at BB or CC. Give me a specific budget though. Audiogon has high end used stuff for insane prices. Mostly half price. That is generally where I shop nowadays.

Here's my X-LS with the grilles removed. I love them. :D

Woot for Panny XR-55. I have one and it is awesome.
 
i second audiogon... i fell in love. monitor audio bronze B2's are right aroud the x-ls budget and the x-sub on top of that leaves you with enough to get the xr-55.
