looking for android phone

Wait for the thunderbolt. HTC makes the best droid interface(very lightweight compared to samsung/moto) and it runs on LTE. The benefit of LTE (VZW's 4g) is 8-20Mbps download speeds with 3-5Mbps upload speeds. It's going to have a front facing camera which is supposed to work with skype. LTE not only provides faster speed but also better penetration(buildings/trees/etc). LTE basically smokes tmobiles and AT&T's 4g service, those companies just renamed their 3g service 4g... LTE is already in most major cities, you'll be surprised where you can get it already(checkout their map), but it should be basically everywhere by the end of next year.

Htc is also usually better about updating the software on their phones which can come in handy in the future. Only drawback is usually HTC phones have a terrible battery life. Thunderbolt is also rumored to have 32gig SD card and like 8 gb of internal storage. Htc usually has really nice high resolution screens as well.(think they use samsung screens) Sounds super beast to me!

who the hell buying a Android phone is going to use the stock interface anyways..????

most people i know root and load a custom rom first thing......because all the stock launchers suck...HTC Sense is good, Samsungs TouchWiz isnt bad either, but compared to the custom ones available like ADW Launcher or Launcher Pro Plus.......forget stock launchers

Is the Thunderbolt anything more than a rehashed Evo for VZW? I have heard conflicting things about the processor mainly. It is a phone I am considering, although battery life will probably be one of the biggest sticking points.

Otherwise I may hold onto my Droid 1 until the summer and see what all the releases by then are about.

I think a lot of people actually use the stock interface, well the HTC sense version at least it's probably one of the best if not the best one out there. I used it for a while then I was looking at some posts with users home screens and loved the way to can totally customize the screen to whatever you feel like having. Love my incredible!

BTW whats the next big thing? I guess 4G? Im surprised my incredible is still actually selling and is a top 5 phone. Thats changing soon but the way things move in the mobile world it surprises me.

Probably 95% of people with android devices?

i guess i was thinking in context of "here"....so probably 20% i would guess or a really low amount of Android users on [H] use the stock launcher im guessing
