I am wanting to spend about $60 or around there and need to know what I can go with and still be combatable with my mobo-ram. My rig is listed in my sig but here are some CPUZ info sheets.

I used 2 have the A8V Deluxe SLi mobo from Asus and had it running an X-2 3800 the whole time with no problems, it was even able to OC it to 2.2GHz but thats about as far as that Mobo will allow you to go. No real volt mods and memory settings like my DFI does.
 
I will have an AM2 4200+ X2 tomorrow for $60 shipped... nm... just saw your mobo is 939.

there wont be a huge speed up with older games, but in general itll be alot more noticable and than just picking up a single-core 2.4

its really the only feasible upgrade option for you

Why does the 4200+ have a slower processor speed even though it is a higher model number? It does have more L1 cache and 2 cores...Is that it?
