I am currently runing 2x 256 Corsair pc3200llpt rated 2-3-2-6 but i run it at 2-2-2-6- no problem. I want to go to 1 gig. A little background. I had 1 gig of the same stuff but sold off 512 to subsidize my new monitor purchase.

My rig ran great with all four slots filled but 2-2-2-6 was not an option.

For that reason I intend to go 512x2 . here is my question.

Do I go Corsair 2x 512 PC3200LLPT 2-3-2-6 @ $292.00 US dollars
or
Do I go Mushkin 2 x 512 PC3200 Special Eddition 222 @ $324 US

or

Do I go Mushkin 2 x 512 PC3500 @ $251 US dollars on the assumption that i can achieve at least 2-3-2-6 @PC3200 and subsequently save 40 dollars

I do not intend to overclock and will remain @ 400mhz and effective 800FSB

What do you guys think?

I would get the Mushkin PC3200 lvl 2. It uses BH-6 chips and because you wont be overclocking it, it will be able to run 200MHz 2-2-2 just fine. Its only $283 but out of stock for the moment at Newegg. Or you could just get the Mushkin PC3500 lvl 1. They will run 2-3-2-5 no problem and use CH-5 chips. They are quite a bit cheaper. Like $220 for 1GB.

That Corsair Low Latency stuff is just a gimmick because now they use CH-5 chips just like the PC3200C2 stuff. So the CAS 2 PC3200 is an alot smarter purchase. I dont know why they think they are so low latency when they can't run 2-2-2-5. The ones you have are probably the older ones that still had BH-5 chips or whatever they were useing at the time. Corsair gives it a different name and charges a premium for the name.

I just ordered direct form Mushkin

They wanted 334 for their bh6 stuff but they ended up dropping 10% off and free 2 day shipping. 306.00 shipped is not to bad for near instant gratification.

Oddly enough the Corsiar sticks i have say revision 1.2 so I dont know if its bh5 or ch5v2 but they do 222 all day totaly stable in my board. Of course I did not run any torture tests and its important to note that 3d mark scores were better at 2-3-2-6. I guess i will be ebaying the Corsair to subsidize my purhcase.

Thanks for the opinions guys
