Looking for a Tablet

Can someone suggest me a good tablet? The reason I don't want in iPad is because I am looking for a bigger tablet 14-17 inch with higher resolution. The features that I am looking in a tablet are. It should Capacitive touch screen with multi-touch. I want to use tablets for the following reason

1) Photo Album viewing (iPad will be too small for that)
2) Reading books
3) Other general multimedia stuffs
4) Wifi (mainly for internet & printing)
5) Front facing camera (mainly skype video calling) not a need but will be an added advantage
6) HDMI or Video output (so that can be viewed in TV) not a need but will be an added advantage

So can you guys suggest me a good tablets. Since the launch of Windows 8 isn't far so I do need a tablet for multi-purpose work.

14-17 inch? Check Engadget but nothing that big in the pipeline.

I don't think I've ever heard of a tablet larger than about 12 inches.

biggest you will get is ~12 in...... and IIRC most/all of those are windows based tablets.

No personal experience with them, from what i've read the EEEPad is good, as is the EP121......but again no 1st hand experience, my experience is with the HP 2740p...

The EP121 is a fantastic device but the battery life is on the bad end for a tablet, about 3.5 hours, however not bad for a 2.5 lbs. laptop, which essentially it is. I have Windows 8 running on mine and so far I love it. Some issues with drivers but other than full screen gaming most everything else I've tried thus far works.

If you really are interested in a Windows tablet I'd go for the Samsung Series 7 tablets which should be out next month. It's the same device that Microsoft handed out the developers at the Build conference last week minus some sensors. It should be 100% Windows 8 compatible and while smaller and lighter than the EP121 it's got an i5 Sandy Bridge and higher resolution. Really torn about getting one as I'd like to see what next year brings in the way of next Windows tablets as there should be a slew of them.

I think you should go play with them. The iPad is plenty big for photo album usage, many Pros use it as such.

Going to sit on my ep121 for a while. There will be sandy bridge options coming out i think. Then will be a good time to jump. Besides, I've already dropped a new intel n-6230 and a 128g ssd into my ep121, so I've already enhanced it's lifespan by quite a bit for me and it does what I need. The progression to the samsung isn't that much better unless you really need the higher resolution and a rear facing camera.
