Looking for a small upgrade

Currently running 2x Quadro FX 3500's NOT in SLI. I want to upgrade to a single faster card. The system that it would be going in is in my signature. I've been looking at either a Radeon HD 6670 or a 7790. Would it be worth it to spend the extra money on the 7790? My motherboard is only capable of PCIe 1.1 speeds, so I don't know how much that bottleneck will hurt.

All depends on what will you be doing with the card and budget.. About the PCI-E 1.1 do not worry at 1.1x16 any card out there will be work nicely.. But first tell us the use of the card and budget.

Budget is about $100. I do a light to medium amount of gaming.

Based on your budget and "light to medium" gaming, I would say go for the 7790. I assume light to medium gaming to be: not high res, not maxed effects and not games that are especially taxing on your system. While the 6670 may be okay for some light gaming and maybe even some medium gaming right now and/or near future, you get no future-proofing. The 7790 should be ~40-50% faster than the 6670 (DDR5 version) and should last you at least a few years on light to med gaming.
