looking for a program that shows a list of recent apps that have been executed

we have a few machines here at work where we need to track any exe's that have been opened, either by human hand or malware. is there anything that can do this?

kerio used to be able to do that, but I'm not so sure if it tracks programs that you open, but if it can track others I'm sure it can be configured to track all.
